To make this block i had to first devlop the code to imput into the procedure. First i had to understand how to change the nested squares into regular squares not limited by the x values so i had to make the x change, and the y change so the squares were not limited. Then, my piece was perfectly centered, but to receate Josef Albers peice I had to make the squares shift by changing. Then for the colors I made them randomized for variety of color to be like the peice. Then i used the fill block in my loop to make sure each square was filled. Then i put my whole large code into the procedure and i successfully created the piece.</comment></block></block><custom-block s="square [side length] %s"><block s="reportVariadicProduct"><list><l>10</l><block var="i"/></list></block></custom-block><block s="changeXPosition"><block s="reportVariadicProduct"><list><l>0.5</l><block var="i"/></list></block></block><block s="changeYPosition"><l>-5</l></block><block s="floodFill"></block></script></block><block s="hide"></block></script></block-definition><block-definition s="nested squares" type="command" category="motion"><header></header><code></code><translations></translations><inputs></inputs></block-definition><block-definition s="nested squares (num) %&apos;num&apos;" type="command" category="motion"><header></header><code></code><translations></translations><inputs><input type="%s" initial="1"></input></inputs><script><block s="show"><comment w="90" collapsed="true">the show allows for the sprite to show in the begging before it process the code.</comment></block><block s="gotoXY"><l>120</l><l>0</l></block><block s="doFor"><l>num</l><l>1</l><l>15</l><script><custom-block s="square [side length] %s"><block s="reportVariadicProduct"><list><l>5</l><block var="num"/></list></block><comment w="248" collapsed="true">This block allowed me to create the netted square block. first i had to set up my go to x(120), y(0) for the sprite&apos;s location then i had to use the loop to make the squares repeat, and i used my loop with paramater i so that i could have the squares repeat. Then, i figured out i needed to start from 0 and then go up to 120. overall, it was a little confusing at first but then i realized that the say block had to be by 10 so it could start and go up from ten. I struggled but i figured it out.</comment></block></script></block><block s="hide"></block></script><script x="149.99999999999983" y="15"><block s="show"></block><block s="doFor"><l>index</l><l>1</l><l>15</l><script><block s="doSayFor"><block s="reportVariadicProduct"><list><l>2</l><block var="index"/></list></block><l>1.5</l><comment w="90" collapsed="true"> in this block i was practicing with numbers and how i could make the sprite count from 1 to 30 i realized that i first needed a loop which i used for and then the paramater &quot;index&quot; ten i used 1 to 15 to make the sprite count from one to thirty, but i was confused at first, i had to understand how i could make it count to thirty but going by two&apos;s. it was a little confusing at first but then i realized that the say block had to be by twos instead of 1.</comment></block></script></block><block s="hide"></block></script></scripts></sprite><sprite name="Squares" idx="4" x="120" y="0" heading="90" scale="1" volume="100" pan="0" rotation="1" draggable="true" hidden="true" costume="0" color="245,123,0,1" pen="tip" id="171"><costumes><list struct="atomic" id="172"></list></costumes><sounds><list struct="atomic" id="173"></list></sounds><blocks></blocks><variables></variables><scripts><comment x="97" y="24.666666666666657" w="80" collapsed="false">SLIDE 11</comment><script x="54" y="186"><custom-block s="nested squares (num) %s"><l>10</l><comment w="248" collapsed="true">This block allowed me to create the netted square block. first i had to set up my go to x(120), y(0) for the sprite&apos;s location then i had to use the loop to make the squares repeat, and i used my loop with paramater i so that i could have the squares repeat. Then i put my whole large code into the procedure and i successfully created the piece.</comment></custom-block></script></scripts></sprite><sprite name="Spiral" idx="3" x="-253.42910913493836" y="-149.39340556210107" heading="330" scale="1" volume="100" pan="0" rotation="0" draggable="true" hidden="true" costume="0" color="31,235,255,1" pen="tip" id="187"><costumes><list struct="atomic" id="188"></list></costumes><sounds><list struct="atomic" id="189"></list></sounds><blocks></blocks><variables></variables><scripts><comment x="101.00000000000057" y="10.000000000000014" w="80" collapsed="false">SLIDES 9 &amp; 10</comment><script x="224.00000000000063" y="18.333333333333286"><block s="receiveKey"><l><option>space</option></l><list></list><comment w="90" collapsed="false">this allows for the results of the codes on the screen to be deleted when the space key on the computer is pressed </comment></block><block s="clear"></block></script><script x="10.000000000000028" y="133.6666666666668"><block s="show"><comment w="90" collapsed="true">the show allows for the sprite to show in the begging before it process the code.</comment></block><block s="down"></block><block s="doFor"><l>length</l><l>1</l><l>200</l><script><block s="forward"><block s="reportVariadicProduct"><list><l>0.05</l><block var="length"/></list></block><comment w="90" collapsed="true">this loop allowed for me to create my spiral, first i had to understand the code of my square spiral first i used my pen down to start the code and then i realized that i had to use my length paramater and i had to increase it by 100 to make it a circular shape, then to make the circle shape i was reminded that in geometry the more sides a shape has the more circular the shape is so i made the move 0.05 to make it a spherical shape</comment></block><block s="turn"><l>10</l></block></script></block><block s="hide"><comment w="90" collapsed="true">the hide allows for the sprite to no longer be seen at the end before it process the code.</comment></block></script><script x="18.000000000000057" y="340.666666666666"><block s="setHeading"><l>90</l></block></script><script x="355.00000000000045" y="165.66666666666674"><block s="show"><comment w="90" collapsed="true">the show allows for the sprite to show in the begging before it process the code.</comment></block><block s="down"></block><block s="doFor"><l>length</l><l>1</l><l>100</l><script><block s="forward"><block s="reportVariadicProduct"><list><l>2</l><block var="length"/></list></block><comment w="90" collapsed="true">this loop allowed for me to create my square spiral l, first i had to understand the code of my square spiral first i used my pen down to start the code and then i realized that i had to use my length paramater and i had to make it 100 to ,i made the move 2 and then used my length paramater the the turning 90 degrees to make it a square sphere shape</comment></block><block s="turn"><l>90</l></block></script></block><block s="hide"><comment w="90" collapsed="true">the hide allows for the sprite to no longer be seen at the end before it process the code.</comment></block></script></scripts></sprite><watcher scope="Explore" s="xPosition" style="normal" x="9.87539062500025" y="9.875390624999987" color="74,108,212" hidden="true"/></sprites></stage><variables></variables></scene></scenes></project><media name="U1L3.3 Modern Art With Polygons: for loop" app="Snap! 11.0.4, https://snap.berkeley.edu" version="2"></media></snapdata>
